from Denver Colorado and Israel Kantor from Miami Florida.
This exciting vocalist brings enthusiasm and innovation to
his new group "Me & Julio", which was born in
the summer of 2003 when Julio got together with John Stone,
a blues musician, from the Colorado Springs area.
John Stone
John was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, into a musical family.
Played trumpet, trombone and baritone horns until he moved
to the Chicago area and began playing guitar in the blues
tradition. He brought back a desire to perform and began with
the Irish band, Tim Finnegan, early rock/punk with the Syndicatores,
blues with Gordon Stone and Wise Blues Band, rock with Stone
Buddha, original duo with Clifton and Stone, solo as John
Stone and finally Sonmoderno with Me and Julio. He has been
playing since 1976 and after 28 years believes that "Me
and Julio is one of the best groups he has ever performed
with." The synthesis of salsa and flamenco guitar is
fresh and will add to the rising Latin music movement in North
America, we invite everyone to come out and dance with us!
