WORLD RHYTHM SYNERGY ASSEMBLY (Available in Spanish and
English)
LENGTH: 45 Minutes to 1 Hour
WORKSHOP SIZE: Up to 300 participants
DESCRIPTION: World Rhythm Synergy is a
high-energy multicultural event that infuses explosive drumming
with meaningful lecture and group participation for students.
This a unique opportunity for students to learn more about
the evolution of western civilization and how it has inspired
cultural development, social interaction and multicultural
distinction within the United States. More importantly, the
program shows students how they are connected, both culturally
and musically. From Africa to the Caribbean to Central and
North America, the World Rhythm Synergy is a musical field
trip that students can enjoy while learning. Along the way,
they will have an opportunity to explore various African,
Afro-Cuban and Caribbean rhythms and instrument. This SPANISH
bilingual assembly program will have them playing, dancing,
even rapping!
EQUIPMENT NEEDS: A performance area of
at least 10' x 10' and a simple PA system with microphone.
